Story

Zero was built by SPEKTRE (Special Planetary Enforcement Kaiju Threat Response) - the first of a new generation of Colossi built to defend the planet against the kaiju threat. Zero was named after their chief scientist Dr. Zeron, who had his own brain hardwired into the construct in an attempt to expand his intellect. The experiment worked - but at the cost of his sanity.

Obsessed with stockpiling the Ichor for his experiments, Zero went missing for a few days. When he returned he had modified his body, arming himself with weaponry and hyper-advanced technology - and filled with rage...

SPEKTRE's Last Hope

During the first kaiju invasion of Symberia - and the ensuing conflict to try and defeat it - stray ordnance caused a landslide, revealing part of a strange metal construct - a Warden. Those who discovered it became founding members of SPEKTRE, intending to understand this creation and use it against the kaiju. They experimented on it for years, with particular interest - and caution - after Talos revealed himself to the world. Clearly made from the same materials, their work with it led to the creation of the Centurions in use today, including Zero, although they kept the original Warden hidden and unpowered.

Now, with Zero having gone mad and disappeared, and with the Crimson Corsairs ransacking the city, SPEKTRE's last hope is to power up this ancient construct and hope it defends the city against the pirates.

Hardlight Origins

The Baroness wasn't the first in history to use Hardlight technology - in ancient times, the Olympians used similar technology powered by ichor. Talos and the Wardens wielded weapons using this tech, but Talos lost his eons ago as he lay dormant. Thankfully, with the Warden recovered and reactivated, these weapons can be raised against the enemy once more.
