Character History[]
A colossal thank you for welcoming our latest elemental phenomenon into the mix, the Velgerian! This particular figure has been in development for over a decade, if you can believe it. However, it has gained greater prominence in the past three years. I still recall the internal decision between Geodraxus or the Velgerian for our initial pvc figure, as if it were yesterday. The Velgerian still needed some time to bake, however...
This project has many people to thank for its realization, as anything nowadays is rarely done alone. I first want to thank the great Anthony Coffey for his sculpting contributions to this figure. Anthony is a truly talented and inspiring individual, who has had his hands on a multitude of Glyos projects over the years. Working with Anthony last year really helped me get to know him and his approach to work. He took the Velgerian to places we wanted to see with masterful skill. My deepest gratitude goes out to him!
Another significant acknowledgement is extended to Matt for his tireless efforts and invaluable guidance regarding the Velgerian. Matt and I spent countless hours drawing back and forth among a litany of behind-the-scenes logistics, design changes, and production planning. The Velgerian shares a true collaborative nature with Matt, as his DNA is all over this figure. Over the coming months, I plan to highlight a lot of the stages this figure took, as well as old drawings and content. It's fun to see the lifespan of these projects! Thanks brother![1]
Story[]
Visceral Visions[]
The recent mechanical uprising on Velgeris has triggered its ancient inhabitants, known as the Velgerians, to confront a new looming threat. It would seem that Acris, one of the galaxy's most prevalent Arms Dealers, had failed to uphold his end of the Mecha Terraforming Program that both he and the Velgerians agreed to share.
Acris was tasked with building Treeborg and Dalendure units to identify, neutralize, and restore Velgeris from an unknown but deadly decaying disease. In return, the Velgerians would share some of their Bio Elemental Tech with Acris to expand his offerings.
However, these robotic entities became sentient and plotted to take over Velgeris, despite Acris' programming. With the planet's well-being at stake, the Velgerians elected to intervene and uproot these tech-driven organisms to reclaim their home world and restore Velgeris to the macrocosm that it once was. The power of the Velgerians is now unleashed![2]
Face of Death[]
The deadly affliction known as The Necrothyr has now taken form as an unstoppable army of relentless invaders. Despite the Velgerian's strongest attempts, they are faced with the encroaching danger that may signify the end of Velgeris.[3]
The Necrothyr continue their relentless advance, overwhelming Velgeris despite the fierce resistance from the Velgerians. As the end draws near, the light of hope fades, leaving nothing but despair in its wake...[4]
